Experiment 1, Stimulus Images
The archive linked to below contains example stimulus images for Experiment 1. Each image is designated by a condition string (matte, cona, conb, conc, cond) and a bodycolor string (pur, yg). There are four forms of each designated image:
- condition_bodycolor_LMSWhite.mat -- Matlab .mat file containing the LMS cone coordinates of the image, rendered with a white sphere at the match position. These are the images produced by our rendering procedure. See also the rendering archive.
- condition_bodycolor_XYZMatch.mat -- Matlab file with CIE XYZ coordinates of the actual displayed stimulus for Observer ACD, with that observers' average match rendered at the match sphere location. These images have been tone-mapped and scaled into the monitor gamut. That is, these images correspond to the XYZ values of the stimulus images acually displayed in the experiment. The units of luminance are cd/m2.
- condition_bodycolor_SRGBMatch.tif -- TIFF image rendered in SRGB format from the XYZ image listed just above. This has been cropped so to remove the black pixels corresponding to the front aperture of the rendered room.
- conditino_bodycolor_SRGBTestAtMatch.tif -- Like the image just above, but with the test sphere rendered at the match location.
